SYNOPSIS
The decline of civilization in confrontation with wild nature.
Delicious-Shadow lives quietly in the Colorado desert. He spends his days observing the movement of colors on the rocks from sunrise to sunset. At night, he watches the stars. And this is the story of his life from the moment he was born until the moment when, by surprise, he is cruelly struck by love.
Cruelly, because since Delicious-Shadow is a cactus with its feet buried in the barren rocks, how can he get close to the unfurled Duchese? Cruelly, because, being a cactus, Delicious-Shadow is by nature very conditioned to the physical manifestation of his affection. And if all that wasn’t enough, how can he thwart the sinister plans of Botifarra, the sheriff, who is engaged to the fluttering Duchese? Is a happy ending possible for such a misadventurous love?
“Blood, Sweat and Spikes” is a paper theater inspired by the universe of Sergio Leone’s westerns, with live music inspired by Ennio Morricone.
