Regulations and registration

Sementeira is a call for artists from or residing in Alentejo, to support new creations in the areas of Theatre, Dance, Music, Performance or Interdisciplinary Arts. The programme supports an original project, which will be developed in artistic residency and presented in a circuit of several municipalities in Alentejo, contributing to the renewal of the regional creative fabric.

2nd edition (2024/2025)

Sementeira is a project that supports new creations, awarding a €10,000 grant to the selected project. In addition to the monetary value, the projects will spend four weeks in residence in Évora, Portalegre, and Montemor-o-Novo. The selected project will also be required to present its creation in a regional circuit in five municipalities in the Alentejo region.

This creation grant is intended for original artistic projects (theatre, dance, music, performance or interdisciplinary projects). This call for applications gives priority to artists from or residing in the Alentejo region.

1st edition (2023/2024)

Sementeira – Bolsa de Novas Criações para o Alentejo is an initiative promoted by Antípoda A.c., co-produced by O Espaço do Tempo and in partnership with Alma d’ Arame, Pó de Vir a Ser, Pé de Xumbo, FUTURAMA and the municipalities of Évora, Viana do Alentejo, Estremoz, Mértola and Serpa.

This was a call for emerging creative projects, with the aim of awarding two grants to support the creation of original artistic projects (theatre, dance, performance or interdisciplinary projects), promoting a circuit of artistic circulation in the Alentejo.
